The Rachamankha Hotel, Chiang Mai, is situated within the old city walls, a few minutes drive from the night bazaar, and just fifteen minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport.
Distinctive features of the Rachamankha Hotel are its large Lanna lanterns, decorated with nineteenth century paintings describing the life of Lord Buddha, a very rare Chinese antique liqueur screen, and the bar with its lithographs by Henry Moore, Robert Motherwell, and other early twentieth century painters.
The focus of the cuisine at the Rachamankha Hotel is Thai, but there is also a large selection of fusion dishes that combine food, sauces, and flavorings from Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, and Europe. Antique Chinese tables and Ming Dynasty plates are placed tastefully along the sides of the restaurant at the Rachamankha Hotel.
A small, shady courtyard at the Rachamankha Hotel allows gusts to dine outside while listening to traditional northern Thai music. Above the restaurant is the Gallery, which serves to inform guests staying at the Rachamankha Hotel about the rich Lanna culture of the region, and also provides a unique meeting room venue.
Items of silverware, lacqueurware, and hilltribe jewellery, add to the d?cor throughout the Rachamankha Hotel. The 23 well-appointed guest rooms and suites offer a range of amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. Recreational facilities at the Rachamankha Hotel include a swimming pool and massage services.
